Take the time to get amongst nature and spot some of the locals! The Winton region is alive with native birdlife.

Some species include: grey falcon, Opalton grasswren, rufus-crowned emu wren, spinifex bird, Little Grassbirds, and many more.                                                                                                     

The best places to head out to spot these feathered friends include: 

  • Long Waterhole 
  • Pelican Waterhole 
  • Bladensburg National Park 
  • Lark Quarry Conservation Park  
  • Opalton
